Welcome
to
Heather Wygant's Science Education Web Page!
Hi! I
am a high school
Geology teacher in Morgan Hill, California. I have been
teaching
now for 14 years, in both Texas and California. I currently
hold
a BS in Geology from Cal State University Hayward and a Master's in
Science Education from the University of Texas at Dallas, with a
Masters in Geosciences from Mississippi State university completed
summer
of 2011. I have also earned my preliminary Administrators
Credential. I currently serve as the Treasurer of
the
California Science Teachers' Association, after serving 4 years as the
High School Director. I love teaching high school
students and interesting them in the geosciences! I added AP
Environmental to my teaching venue in 2011, and cheerleading in 2012. I
am also an
avid animal person, with 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 chickens, a bearded
dragon and fish. I am a country girl at heart, and love being
out
in the middle of nowhere- camping, hiking, running, biking, and just
enjoying the
beauty of this planet. I lived in Texas most of my life, but
am
enjoying California and the diversity of geological features (like
mountains!).
